Studio Series 86 Jazz

Yet another almost perfect figure that I own - with only a couple flaws. Unfortunately, one of those flaws is just really frustrating.

If you own this toy, you'll know what I'm talking about: the entire goddamn roof of the car/backpack of the robot is made of clear plastic, including the hinges that connect it to the main body of the toy. Yeah. And it's known to just develop cracks and fractures without even transforming it.

I don't get it. Hasbro obviously has to know by this point that using clear plastic for joints and stuff is capital-B bad. Yet they still do it. So frustrating. I know it's likely a budget thing but if Hasbro has to have clear windows - then they should be insert pieces in otherwise solid plastic. Not the entire thing made out of clear plastic and then just painted over. It'd also prevent colour mismatch.

Shame, really. I legit do think this toy great but that big issue really does knock it down a couple pegs. Wish there were a version without the transparent plastic roof - one that wasn't a five-pack exclusive I mean.
