Legacy G2 Mirage

G2 Mirage! This release is a redeco of the Kingdom Mirage mold and its gloriously 90s deco is based on a cancelled redeco of the G1 Mirage toy planned for the Transformers Generation 2 toyline in the 90s.

If you're at all familiar with G1 Mirage, you're probably wondering 'Why doesn't he have his shoulder rocket launcher? Why is he holding it in his hand?'. Well the answer is when Hasbro retooled Siege Mirage into Kingdom Mirage, the retool removed the 5mm ports that the original mold had available on each shoulder. There are 3D printed accessories you can use to give him the ports but I just haven't bothered.

Anyways this toy was part of the Toxitron Collection and was meant to be a Walmart-exclusve subline and it was!

Except for some reason the Target I went to back when I was living in South Florida ended up with a few Mirages and - since he was never meant to be sold at Target - he wasn't in their system, so guess who got this toy for $5 after the cashier asked me if I remembered how much it was priced at?
