Blue Dolphin (1988)

That's right, this is proper vintage right here. Not a reissue, it's a 1988 action figure of Blue Dolphin from Choujuu Sentai Liveman. Actual (late) Showa era toy right here.

Anyways picked this figure up back in 2017-ish for around $30-35 on eBay, complete with the original box (which I have in storage).

I didn't care about keeping her in box because she was loose in box - not mint-in-box (and the box doesn't have a plastic window to protect her from the elements anyway, it's open window so...). Still kept the box though, obviously.

She's pretty cool. I'm probably heavily biased since Liveman is the GOAT Sentai as far as I'm concerned but this is legit a great looking action figure (as long as you don't turn her around to show off her unpainted back).

She is also mostly a 'display and look at toy' than a 'play with toy'. Not strictly because of her vintage but she is from 1988 so her articulation is basically just: neck swivel, shoulders swivel forwards and back, hinge and rotation at the elbow, rotation where the legs connect to the skirt, and hinge knees. Really not much you can do with her since pretty much all her actually usable articulation is above the waist.

Still I mean she is a damn good looking action figure.
